Unlimited Potential for Economic Development in the Mott Area

Surrounded by the vast open plains that nearly swallowed Lewis and Clark two hundred years ago, Mott's workforce and resources are beginning to be discovered by the industrial world. The Mott area boasts a workforce of hardworking, honest individuals. Most have college degrees. Manufacturing skills such as welding are common among young people that grow up on farms. Land for construction can be purchased for a reasonable price. Housing is inexpensive in our area (see Real Estate). One of the finest school systems in the world, public or private, awaits families who move here.

Access to communication services in Mott is superior. Consolidated Telcom Corporation, the local telephone company, has a 400 megabit fiber optic cable that loops in from Dickinson to CTC's local telephone office building. CTC can supply multiple 45 megabit, T3 connnections or fiber optic connections anywhere in town. CTC will support any computer or web-based company with speed, reliability and performance. An example of this is the T1 line in use by our community's nursing home. Information concerning the North Dakota carrier that makes all telcos possible in ND and is responsible for the fiber optic lines in the state can be found at this site http://www.dakotacarrier.com. These resources offer unlimitedInternet potential for any computer dependant or Internet-based business. Cell phone users may choose between two providers. Verizon Wireless has a new tower six miles North of Mott, and Cellular One has a tower located about 15 miles to the west of Mott.

One hundred years ago, German and Scandinavian immigrants came to the new world to wrest a new life for themselves from the stubborn sod. A few left, broken and defeated. With the sweat of their brow and toil of their hands, those who stayed thrived and prospered. An exemplary work ethic passed from generation to generation. Come and see for yourself.
